Safety

A chew is safety equipment as much as sensory equipment. Please read this page before first use, and share it with anyone else who supervises use.

Inspect before every use

• Check the whole product, including the cord and the sliding bead.
• Look and feel for splits, tears, thinning, punctures or missing pieces.
• Check the cord for fraying and the bead for cracks.
• If anything is damaged or worn, discard it immediately. Do not attempt a repair.

Supervision

Use under adult supervision.

Age and cord warning

Not suitable for children under 3 years. The cord is long and presents a strangulation hazard. For younger children, or for anyone at risk from a cord, use the pendant without the necklace cord and under direct supervision.

When to replace

Replace at the first sign of damage. Chews are consumable items. Regular replacement is normal and expected, and it is cheaper than the alternative.

Cleaning

• Wash before first use and as needed.
• Hand wash with warm soapy water.
• Allow to dry completely before use.
